Spinach porridge 苋菜粥

Cooked lunch myself at home today. Suddenly desperate for porridge. So, I have cooked myself a bowl of delicious porridge. It is a bit hard to cook porridge for 1 person, so I cooked for 2 serving (just enough for 2 small-eater).

This is a very easy recipe. I just took about 1/2 hour to cook it. Of course I use stove to cook, not rice cooker.

Ingredients:
1. Uncooked rice                1/2 cup
2. Potato                             1/2 medium
3. Chinese Spinach              1 cup
4. Minced pork/chicken       1/2 match box
5. Soy sauce                      

Method:
1. Wash the rice thoroughly under running water. Add water to a pot with the rice and bring to cook into porridge.
2. Watch out for the porridge to avoid too dry and cause it to become rice.
3. When the porridge is cooked, add in potato (cut into cubes) and cook for a while.
4. Add in chinese spinach and minced pork/chicken into porridge. Cook until the spinach is soft and the pork/chicken is well done.
5. Add in a little bit soy sauce to taste.
6. Serve while still hot.

*For a better taste, add in soy sauce to the minced pork/chicken before cook.
